X Factor Celebrity fans baffled as Simon Cowell dares to ditch his usual uniform

Simon Cowell baffled fans tuning in to The X Factor Celebrity by daring to change his wardrobe.

We are so used to seeing Simon dress up in a white shirt and black trousers/blue jeans for live telly that anything else just seems wrong.

Languishing in the Los Angeles sunshine in the latest episode of X Factor Celebrity, Simon obviously dressed for the weather.

In Saturday night’s episode, it was time for Simon and fellow judges Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh to give the acts their feedback and tell them if they were through to the live shows.

The music mogul looked effortlessly cool on the sofa talking to the acts, wearing sunglasses and…wait for it…a red T-shirt and white shorts.

Surely we’re in the end times.

His normal uniform of a white shirt and smart trousers would have been stifling in the heat, so obviously he had to switch it up.

But viewers were still left unsettled by the new outfit.

‘Simon looks so weird with a red T-shirt on’ one confused fan tweeted.

‘Why is Simon wearing red?! He’s not in X Factor uniform at all,’ read another comment.

One fan voiced our thoughts exactly with the comment: ‘Biggest shock this evening. Simon owns a red t-shirt.’

Tweeted another viewer: ‘Simon in red and shorts. He really is at home.’

Simon, Nicole and Louis confirmed the line- up for the live shows after the auditions – which did away with boot camp and the Six Chair Challenge.

For the finals, Simon has groups Max and Harvey, V5, Try Star, Love Islanders; Louis will coach the Unders Jonny Labey, Kevin McHale, Olivia Olson and Megan McKenna and Nicole will handle the Overs Victoria Ekanoye, Ricki Lake, Martin Bashir, and Vinnie Jones.

The X Factor Celebrity airs Saturdays on ITV.
