Who is Matthew Robertson?
Matthew started out in TV, like his wife, hosting Pet Rescue and appearing in Sam’s Games.
Pet Rescue was a TV series which aired between 1997 and 2003 and followed injured and abandoned animals which were rescued by the RSPCA and taken to new homes.
Sam’s Games was a comedy which began in 2001 and tracked the lives of four friends who got involved in each other’s lives while renting flats in a large house in London.
Davina starred as Sam, and Matthew played a guy in a cafe who had a crush on her.
When did Davina McCall marry Matthew Robertson?
Davina and Matthew began working together in 2000, just as Davina's career with Big Brother began.
The pair – who stayed close for almost two decades – married the same year on 29 June 2000 at a lavish ceremony at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire.
They renewed their wedding vows in April 2015 after 15 years of marriage in a low-key ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel.
During the renewal, Davina said: "I'm very lucky, because as far as I know I've married a really faithful guy."
When did Davina McCall announce her marriage to Matthew Robertson was over?
The Sun exclusively revealed that Davina McCall announced her marriage was over in 2017.
She admitted: "I have made so many mistakes in my life."
Davina shared a motivational quote with her online followers on Friday 24 November 2017 which said: “Every morning we get a chance to be different. A chance to change. A chance to be better.
“Your past is your past. Leave it there. Get on with the future part.”
Davina added on Instagram: “I really know about this one. I have made so many mistakes in my life. But there is always a new day.”
She then confirmed she had split with Matthew, father to her three children, after 17 years of marriage.
She said: “I am very sad to say Matthew and I have separated. Our amazing children are our number one priority.”
The Sun on Sunday revealed that there was no third party involved.
On April 22, The Sun also broke the news that the TV star had agreed to give up at least £2.5million to secure a quick divorce.
Davina previously talked about going to therapy with the former Pet Rescue presenter, which she said last year had been “brilliant”.
Has Davina started dating someone new?
In May, 2019, Hello revealed that Davina had reportedly moved on with celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas, who has worked with the TV presenter for 20 years.
Rumours began to fly after the long-term friends were spotted canoodling at Chelsea Flower Show in May.
Neither one of them have come forward to address their relationship but Michael has praised Davina as one of his favourite clients in the past.
On Instagram, he wrote: "I've been doing this bob for almost 20 years the lovely @davinamccall. Always inverted (longer at the front than the back) layering around the face and long layers everywhere else. Looks great wavy or straight".
