Strictly Come Dancing winner Bill Bailey is hooked on birdwatching.
The comic has been enjoying his favourite hobby to beat his lockdown boredom.
In recent weeks he has seen the hours fly by as he looks out for tits and wrens around his London home.
The champion dancer said: “I love birdwatching – I urge people to do it.
“I have found myself often sitting out and watching the birds, just listening to them sing. It keeps me busy.”
Birdwatching has been recommended by doctors as it is said to help combat some chronic illnesses such as high blood pressure, anxiety and depression.
Stand-up star Bill is full of support.
He said: “I was so happy to discover birdwatching is actually prescribed by local doctors for a variety of medical conditions.”
Bill has plenty of time on his hands right now as the pandemic has scuppered many of his work projects.
Normally, the Strictly winner would be able to cash in on their success with a string of lucrative jobs.
But Bill’s UK tour had to be postponed and Strictly’s annual arena tour has been axed.
Birdwatching is hugely popular right now.
Gavin & Stacey’s Alison Steadman and movie star Sean Bean love to get their binoculars out.
Shows like Springwatch are huge hits for the BBC, and next weekend the Big Garden Birdwatch will have thousands of families out spotting wildlife.
