STRICTLY Come Dancing viewers were left fuming tonight as Viscountess Emma Weymouth became the sixth star to be eliminated from the show.
BBC broadcaster Mike Bushell triumphed in the dance off for the second week in a row, but the result, which was leaked overnight, left fans calling it a fix.
Emma and her pro partner Aljaž Škorjanec performed a Samba to Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s I Don’t Care but failed to impress the four judges who unanimously chose Mike and Katya Jones.
Craig Revel Horwood said: “Well, for me the most challenging and the better dance, I thought on this particular performance for me, I’d like to save Mike and Katya.”
Motsi Mabuse: “I’m going to choose a couple which I think everything they did was much clearer to read, much easier to follow and more prepared. I’m going to go with Mike and Katya.”
Bruno Tonoili explained: “Purely based on tonight’s performance, more entertaining, richer, more powerful and something extraordinary happened, the celebrity actually covered for the professionals mistake; Mike and Katya.”
With the result already confirmed, head judge Shirley Ballas said she'd also chosen to save Mike and Katya.
Viewers were in shock at the result, with one writing on Twitter: "Just watched the Strictly dance off Had to double check it wasn’t April Speechless ?."
Another posted: "Saving Mike again? Wow. Katya fell off his back. Another dancer gone ? #Strictly #Conspiracy."
A third said: "#Strictly how has mike been saved AGAIN!?!?"
A fourth shared: "come on Strictly, we love Mike but Emma and Alijaz were by far the best ❤️?."
When asked by Tess about her time on the show, Emma said: “I’ve loved this more than anything I’ve done in my entire life.
"I’m going to be forever grateful to you for working so hard, you’ve been so patient with me and teaching me everything. Thank you, I want to be friends forever because you’re just amazing. I never wanted to let you down, I’m just heartbroken.”
Aljaz said: “You never ever let me down from the first day of rehearsals when I walked in. I’m the only professional to have danced with an actual lady on Strictly Come Dancing.
"From day one in rehearsals, your dedication, to go from a non-performer, non-dancer, to achieve what you achieved on this show, I’m lucky it was me that taught you how to dance.
"Thank you so much for every single second in rehearsals. On that dancefloor you surprised me positively every single week. Thank you so much.”
Tonight's results show opened with an Elton John inspired group dance, as well as a musical performance from Emelie Sande, performing her single Shine.
The remaining ten couples will take to the dancefloor next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 9th November at 6.45pm with the results show on Sunday 10th November at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
