Spider-Man 3 is finally beginning, with the production underway after a long wait for fans. Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker, though many of the details on the movie are being kept under wraps. Here is everything we know so far about Spider-Man 3.

When is Spider-Man 3 coming out in cinemas?

The upcoming Spider-Man movie is expected to be released on December 17, 2021.

The movie was expected to be released earlier than that originally, on July 16, 2021, but the COVID-19 pandemic meant it was pushed back.

It was then pushed back to November 5, 2021, but now it will be released in December 2021, and production has now started on the movie.

Who is in the cast of Spider-Man 3?

Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker, hopefully taking on what many are desiring: his role as the leader of The Avengers.

Also returning to the franchise are Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Peter’s friend and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May.

Extra to this, some familiar faces will make their debut in a Spider-Man movie.

One is Benedict Cumberbatch, who will play Doctor Stephen Strange, his Avengers character who will hopefully team up with his young superhero friend.

As well as him, Jamie Foxx will make a return to the Spider-Man franchise as Electro, AKA Max Dillon.

Electro appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opposite Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey.

Now, he will make his debut in the new Spider-Man franchise, this time with Marvel on his side.

Finally, Tony Revolori will appear as Eugene Thompson, AKA The Flash.

What is the plot of Spider-Man 3?

At the moment it is difficult to tell what will be the plot of Spider-Man 3, as few details have been revealed on the set.

The return of Jamie Foxx’s character means he will likely be a villain, but the presence of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange makes things even more intriguing, as it may mean there is a time-travel element to the movie.

We know given shooting has started in New York City that Peter will at least spend some time at home, though with shooting locations as vast as Iceland, LA and Atlanta, it is hard to know what may be in store for the MCU crew.

Is there a trailer out for Spider-Man 3?

At the moment there is not, as filming has just started.

All there is, at present, are images of the NYPD notices, marking the beginning of filming after a long wait.

Spider-Man 3, which is yet to confirm its official title, is out in cinemas on December 17, 2021
