Where is Silent Witness 2020 set?

The BBC show is set in various locations across the UK which will change depending on the case the team are working on.

Once again, the team can be seen at their base at The Thomas Lyell Centre in the capital.

Speaking to The Sunday Post, Fox said still enjoyed doing the programme after first joining in 2004.

The actress explained: “I love it with exactly the same excitement as the first day I arrived, but with the history of loving it now, too.”

She went on to say: “It’s a really huge relationship I’ve had with it. I still feel excited by it and I still feel sad when it comes to the last weeks.

“As soon as we get into filming the last episode, I think, ‘Oh, we’re going to be saying goodbye for a little bit’.

“A large part of that is the relationship we four cast members have with each other and the fact it’s a show constantly bringing in new casts, so it’s giving us the luxury of the familiarity of the character, but always being put into new situations.”

Where is Silent Witness 2020 filmed?

Season 23 saw the cast filming some scenes at a hangar in Surrey.

David Caves, who plays Jack Hodgson, said: “It was like a movie set. The art department did an amazing job. It was like a Bond film. It was incredible.”

The show is often filmed out of sequence depending on the availability of locations.

As such, Fox admitted she creates charts so she understands her character arc and where her onscreen alter-ego will be during the shoot on any given day.

She explained: “We often film out of sequence, and so you have to remember what information the character already knows during certain scenes, because otherwise – and particularly at the speed that we film – we’re coming into scenes thinking, ‘Where are we in this story?’ and ‘Was that in the last script or was that here?’ So I make charts on every job that I do, I map it out.

Previously, the show has filmed in many towns and cities all across the UK but a lot of the filming is in London.

According to The Sun, previous London locations included Westminster, Southwark, Richmond, Lambeth, Ealing, Brent, Camden, The City, Hackney, Kensington and Chelsea, Islington, Hounslow and Haringey.

Some of the last series was filmed in Brighton with a jewellery shop transformed into a tattoo parlour.
