PIERS Morgan was stunned when Richard Arnold revealed that he'd been texting the star's wife behind his back earlier today.
Susanna Reid accused Piers of being "furious" with Good Morning Britain's showbiz correspondent, who remained coy as he teased details of their exchange.
Speaking on the breakfast show earlier today, 49-year-old Richard said: "I was texting your missus yesterday in the garden, Celia."
Clearly shocked, Piers, 54, exclaimed: "Sorry, why?!
"Why were you texting my wife on a Sunday?"
Richard continued: "Just about a cheeky little commission."
Piers remained open-mouthed as he replied: "Really?! What cheeky commission?"
Susanna laughed that he was "furious" as Richard joked: "Someone's got to earn the money."
The divisive TV presenter then warned his openly gay co-star: "You're muscling in.
"Stay away from my wife on text message."
He then cheekily added: "We don't want you turning."
Piers has been married to journalist Celia Walden since 2010, and the pair share seven-year-old daughter Elsie together.

Richard wasn't the star's only run-in on today's episode of Good Morning Britain, with Piers also being briefly taken off air when he slammed the show's director.
He had taken offence to something that Erron Gordon had said on social media, and the fed-up crew couldn't resist getting their own back while the host moaned on air.
