Serious tears were shed on Monday night’s episode of Love Island, which saw a cut-throat recoupling.
Male model Danny Williams decided to choose new girl Arabella Chi over his former flame, scientist Yewande Biala.
When the brutal recoupling left her single, the 23-year-old beauty was then swiftly eliminated.
Leaving the villa, heartbroken Yewande had a few harsh words to say about the brand-new couple, suggesting that their relationship was doomed.
Taking no prisoners, she said: “I feel like if he does get to know her, it’s not going to work.”
The dumped Islander claimed that the seven-year age gap was the main reason why the two professional models were fated to break-up.
While blonde bombshell Arabella is 28 years of age, Danny is just a fresh-faced 21-year-old.
Yewande continued: “You have to be realistic. He’s just starting his life.”
Before adding: “They are in two different phases of their lives. In the villa, it’s very easy to forget.”
Over on social media, Danny and Yewande’s rocky romance received mixed reactions from viewers from day one.
Some labelled Danny “fake” for convincing Yewande that his “head wouldn’t be turned”, before promptly chatting up newbie Arabella on their date.
On the other hand, others felt that Yewande never showed him any affection and that he simply had more chemistry with Arabella.
The newly-single babe admitted that her quest for love isn’t over yet, as she’s still holding out for “the chance to find someone that I feel is genuine”.
She also hasn’t ruled out a return to the show, saying that given the opportunity, she “100% would go back”.
In the meantime, back in the villa, Danny and Arabella are free to explore whether their flirty banter has any staying power.
