Love Island has been slammed by former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson as he spoke to his fans on social media.
He was talking to them about his excitement over releasing his next single and possibly a new album when he was asked about the ITV show.
Louis confirmed he was not watching this Love Island 2019 series, which received 200 Ofcom complaints last week.
He said: “I’m not [watching it]. Made the mistake of watching previous years but enough is enough.
“It’s not a good message for the younger people watching.”
Love Island has proven to be a controversial series this year, after fans complained about Maura Higgins trying to kiss Tommy Fury against his will towards the start of the series.
196 people also complained about the fall-out of the recoupling, which saw Amy leave the villa for therapy after Curtis told the islanders he no longer had feelings for her.
As they watched Amy break down over Curtis’ lack of feelings, they complained about the show for being ‘cruel’.
Meanwhile, there is still more drama to come tonight as Joanna will confront Michael and Amber about their feelings for each other.
Michael chose to recouple with Joanna in Casa Amor, but seems to have rekindled his relationship with Amber over the last few days.
The villa is set to become very explosive as Joanna calls them both together to see if there is still something going on between them.
Elsewhere, Ovie cools things off with Anna after realising she still has feelings for Jordan.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
