Kush and Shabnam help Zack with his grief over lost baby in EastEnders

Zack Hudson (James Farrar) has been overwhelmed with grief since the loss of baby daughter Peach in EastEnders.

However, he may soon find some solace thanks to two former Albert Square residents: Kush Kazemi and Shabnam Masood.

As Zack struggles with his grief and what to do next, he seeks comfort from Martin Fowler (James Bye) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

The pair counsel him on how best to help Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), who is also suffering following their tragic loss.

When Martin mentions Kush and Shabnam, Zack becomes inspired.

Kush and Shabnam were left heartbroken in 2015 when, after not feeling their baby move for a few days, they were informed that he had died.

Shabnam was then induced and gave birth to their stillborn son, Zaair.

As Martin explains how the couple planted a tree to remember their own lost baby, Zack is struck by an idea.

When he shares his plans with Whitney, she refuses to get involved.

However, after some wise words from best friend Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams), she soon changes her mind.

Zack is pleased to see her change of heart, and the pair are able to share a moment to grieve.

Is this a sign of things to come for them, or will they go back to pushing each other away?

Kush Kazemi’s life came to an end back in 2021. The beloved character was killed by Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith), who pushed him in front of an oncoming train.

For Shabnam, she left Walford in 2016 after being reunited with Jade, her daughter.
