Jenelle Evans and David Eason are, without a doubt, one of the most controversial couples to ever grace Teen Mom 2. There have been allegations of abuse, custody battles, concern over the safety of their children — you name it. Recently, the couple has been dealing with backlash after a stunning incident in which David Eason allegedly shot and killed Jenelle Evans’ dog. However, Jenelle is now claiming she doesn’t know what actually happened to the dog — but that her relationship with Eason is ‘stronger than ever.’
The dog shooting incident
David Eason of Teen Mom 2 notoriety was recently under major scrutiny after a terrifying allegation that he shot and killed Jenelle Evans’ dog in her home. According to Evans at the time, Eason shot her pet after the pet nipped at their young daughter.
According to what an insider told Us Weekly at the time, “The dog snapped at [their 2-year-old daughter] Ensley and that prompted David’s decision to shoot it.”
At the time Jenelle Evans claimed she fled the house because she “doesn’t feel safe around him” and she was “scared and terrified.” That was all totally understandable at the time, and resulted in Evans and Eason losing custody of several of their children, some of whom they have won custody over once more. It also resulted in Evans losing her spot on Teen Mom 2.
However, it’s recently come to light that much of the story is a fabrication. The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office announced the story was a lie after several visits to Evans’ home, none of which turned up any evidence lending credence to her story.
The sheriff’s statement read, “Jenelle advised that ‘She don’t know where the dog is.’ She also advised that ‘I don’t know if she was shot or killed or not.’ Jenelle stated that the reason she filed the animal cruelty report was for the publicity and because she did not know where her dog was.”
Esophageal diagnosis
To add to the recent drama, the Teen Mom 2 star has apparently been suffering from painful esophageal issues. Evans recently opened up to HollywoodLife about the issue, which she describes as a sort of spasm.
She told the outlet, “With my health, I’ve been dealing with esophageal spasms for years. Every time I would fly in a plane, even today, spasms happen in my chest. Food or liquid will not pass through. Then, I throw up an hour into the flight and keep going until I land, which is a four hour flight, usually from North Carolina to Los Angeles.”
“My results came back from the barium swallow, and I have poor esophagus motility,” she explained. She went on to add, “It’s not hereditary, but it’s known to be caused from an underlying issue as in acid reflux or certain other disorders. We think it might be because of acid reflux, but we’re not too sure.”
Stronger than ever?
Amidst all the drama, Evans claims that she and David Eason are, in fact, doing better than folks might expect. According to Evans, David Eason has been a pillar of strength for her during her esophageal problems.
“David has been supportive of me and understands how severe this problem gets,” Jenelle said, adding that “MTV has also witnessed it first hand a few times.”
A source told HollywoodLife that the couple entered therapy after their recent custody issues. “When the kids were taken, David and Jenelle were both in anger management and they both had psych evals. They’re focusing on bettering themselves and working toward getting to be in a better place… Once the kids are in school, they will take more time to focus on their lives.”
Evans recently posted a picture of her and Eason to her Instagram story, hashtagging it, “#strongerthanever.”
