Jane returned to Loose Women for the first time in two years on Thursday afternoon as she was reunited with some of her beloved co-stars. With the singer losing her fiancé in April, the interview began with the presenters celebrating the life of Eddie. However, speaking publicly for the first time since his passing, the former host of the ITV show became emotional and broke down in tears as she recalled her memories of her partner and the days leading up to his death.

Carol McGiffin started the interview as she said: “Jane, it’s so good to see you back in that seat. We’ve missed you.”

Before she was able to speak, the guest began to cry and apologised to viewers watching at home as she reached for the tissues.
