Heather Peace joins EastEnders as ex-convict Eve Unwin – and she has A LOT of dirt on Stacey Slater

ACTRESS Heather Peace is set to make an explosive arrival onto Albert Square – but how does she know Stacey Slater?

Heather Peace will be arriving in Walford in dramatic fashion this Autumn.

She will play feisty ex-con Eve Unwin, after meeting Stacey (Lacey Turner) in prison.

With Stacey returning to Albert Square in the coming weeks, she arrives with a big secret.

But, it won’t stay secret for long as Eve is hot on her heels, showing up on the Slater’s doorstep.

The tough-as-nails Eve makes her arrival known to the Square.

She quickly clashes with those close to Stacey, while Stacey is determined to get her life back on track.

Can Eve be trusted or will she spell more trouble for Stacey?

Heather Peace is an actor and musician known for her roles in Waterloo Road, London’s Burning, The Chase, Ultimate Force and Lip Service.

Talking about joining EastEnders, Heather said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of EastEnders and I love my character Eve.

"She’s tough, but fair; super bright and cheeky.

"I’m loving working with such a brilliant cast, in particular Lacey Turner.

"We immediately got on and sparked off each other which makes going to work easy & fun.”

Jon Sen, Executive Producer, EastEnders added:  “We are delighted to welcome Heather Peace to the cast of EastEnders.

"She is playing a fascinating character in Eve and her arrival in Albert Square will be sure to cause a whole lot of mayhem which we can’t wait to explore, particularly through her relationship with Stacey and the rest of the Slater clan.

"Heather brings the perfect amount of boldness and wit to the role and we can’t wait to introduce her to the fans”

Stacey is currently in prison after pleading guilty to assaulting Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).

Fans know the stalwart is innocent and the actress recently confirmed she will return to the soap following her maternity leave.

When Stacey is released from prison, she may want to spend a little time away from the square to recover after being attacked by her inmates.

Meanwhile, Ruby has been struggling to cope with her selfish actions after growing closer to Jean Slater (Gillian Wright).

She admitted to Jean that Stacey never pushed her down the stairs and Jean gave her an ultimatum to tell Martin otherwise she would.

Jean supported Ruby when she discovered the club owner was undergoing an operation after being diagnosed with endometriosis.

Will Stacey and Ruby be able to put everything behind them?
