The John Lewis Christmas advert has landed – and it has two breakout stars.
The nation is sure to fall in love with Excitable Edgar , the little green dragon who struggles to control his fire-breathing.
But who is the little red-haired girl who becomes his BFF?
Poor Edgar is shunned by the people of his village, because they're scared of him and angry that he keeps ruining everything with his flaming nostrils.
But he can't help it, and a little girl named Ava understands that. She helps everyone accept him, even though he's different.
Loving little Ava is played by 10-year-old schoolgirl Ruby Dailly, who comes from Glasgow.
Ruby was chosen from thousands of youngsters for the role.
She said: "Ava keeps on being friends with the dragon, even though he sets everything on fire.
"He doesn't mean to so he gets sad whenever I’m mad at him."
Excitable Edgar was created by ad agency adam&eveDDB, who were the people behind John Lewis' 2011 ad about the little boy who couldn't wait for Christmas.
The emotive soundtrack is provided by Dan Smith of pop band Bastille, who performed a cover of REO Speedwagon's Can't Fight This Feeling.
As ever, it's likely the song will be in the running for the coveted Christmas No1 spot.
The advert was filmed in Budapest, Hungary across two weeks in August.
And of course, people who want to can take home their very own Excitable Edgar, with toy dragons on sale at John Lewis stores for £15.
Pretty much every else you see in the ad is for sale too, right down to the Christmas pudding Edgar sets on fire and presents to the villagers.
Craig Inglis, customer director at John Lewis & Partners, said of Edgar: "It started from a spark of an idea – a little dragon’s excitement about Christmas – and became the story of how someone goes the extra mile for their best friend to give just the right gift.
"It’s a funny, heart-warming story that will resonate with our customers as they seek out the perfect gifts for their loved ones this Christmas."
