Escape to the Chateau airs on Channel 4 and the uplifting series follows Dick Strawbridge, Angel Adoree and their children. They have worked hard to turn their stunning 19th-century Château de la Motte-Husson into a family-friendly home and venue. Fans are keen to take a look inside and Express.co.uk has all you need to know about touring the French chateau.
How much does it cost to tour the chateau?
Escape to the Chateau has reached a worldwide audience and the escapist series continue to receive critical acclaim.
There are many fan groups and social media pages dedicated to and inspired by the eccentric couple and their children.
For many, a tour of Dick and Angel’s picturesque home would be an absolute dream, and it can come true.
There are a number of ways for fans to visit the chateau and gain more insight, including a ‘Fun and Festivities’ event.
The family’s official website outlines the itinerary for the action-packed day, which starts at 10.30am.
Tea and coffee will be served on arrival, with guided tours of the chateau taking place from 11am.
Over 90 minutes, visitors will visit the Sous Sol and venture up five floors to the Grenier.
There will be a discussion about how Dick and Angel ended up at the chateau, their life in France and making the TV series.
Lunch is served in the Orangery at 12.30pm, with a tour of the grounds, walled garden and moat taking place from 2.30pm.
Finally, patisseries will be served from 4pm until 5.30pm, and all of this comes at a price of £230.
The price includes transport to and from Laval, tea and coffee on arrival, lunch and a tour of the grounds.
Dick and Angel will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions from visitors.
Sadly, fans will not be able to pay a visit any time soon as tickets are currently out of stock.
The website says: “We promise to update you as soon as more dates are released.”
With this in mind, those keen to take a trip to the chateau will need to keep an eye on the official website.
There is an email address to contact with any booking inquiries, as the website does not specify whether this price is per person or per group.
Other events at the chateau include the Chateau Under the Stars glamping experience, where guests can stay in geodesic domes on the chateau grounds.
Prices for this experience range from £350, but again, all dates have been booked up at this moment in time.
Dick and Angel are also taking part in a Dare To Do It Tour and 2022 dates are now live.
The tour starts in February and the family will be travelling across the UK to meet fans.
Escape to the Chateau is airing on More4 if fans need their fix, with season six airing tonight (July 20).
The synopsis says: “The series begins by recalling the technical and engineering challenges they had to overcome to make it habitable for their young family.
“The couple remember their first winter together, when Dick’s ingenious solutions were put to the test.”
The family has come a long way since then and they have been keeping viewers up to date via their social media pages.
They have also featured in a new series of the spin-off Make Do and Mend, which airs on Channel 4.
Escape to the Chateau is available to watch on ALL4.
