Emmerdale spoilers: Kim Tate digs up DI Malone's body over Will Taylor's betrayal

EMMERDALE'S Kim Tate digs up DI Malone's body following Will Taylor's betrayal.

In the run up to Christmas, Will lets his jealousy show to Bernice when he thinks she’s on a date with Dan.

Will and Bernice have an open discussion about their feelings for each other but the atmosphere quickly turns sour when Bernice gives Will an ultimatum: her or Kim.

Unbeknownst to them both, Kim is in the hallway having heard every word. She ominously makes a call and begins planning a ‘disposal’.

On Christmas morning, Bernice gives Will a hopeful smile as he feels the pressure to make his decision.

Later, as he approaches Malone’s grave with Kim, he is alarmed to find it freshly dug up and worries that, if Kim really did hear something incriminating, this could be part of her revenge.

But she reveals that she removed the corpse so that Will no longer feels tethered to her – he can decide whether he stays or goes.

Will appears touched by the gesture and it later becomes clear that he has made his decision when he proposes to Kim… How will Bernice react?

Last month, Emmerdale viewers were left stunned by Kim's decision to abandon Home Farm in the wake of all her losses.

She lost custody of her granddaughter Millie – and thinks her son Jamie is dead.

Fans have seen her lash out at others to cope with the pain – including blackmailing Paddy Kirk into doping her horse.

But she saved the biggest shock for Will when she told him she was leaving the village,

Opening up about her life when she first came to the village, Kim told Will that she’d never been able to escape her first husband Frank Tate’s assumptions about her.

“I thought I’d hit the jackpot – secretary to Lady of the Manor,” she said.

“But Frank only really just wanted me on his arm or in his bed. That’s all he thought I was worth.

“I keep making the same mistakes. Changing isn’t really in my nature. Maybe having to win means I always end up losing?

“I’m leaving before I ruin it. I need time to think. After the mess I’ve made of my life I need to work out if I can live with myself before I try and live with anyone else.

“Maybe we can talk when, if I get back?”
