Emmerdale fans baffled by village blunder as killer Meena takes first victim

Emmerdale fans found themselves distracted by a killer blunder on Thursday night, as Meena Jutla took her first victim.

Serial killer Meena had been caught out by Leanna Cavanagh, who unearthed her 'bits box' which contained trophies of the unspeakable acts she had committed.

One of them was a newspaper clipping detailing the murder of her "bestie" – who Meena later confirmed she had killed off.

And as Leanna put the pieces together, the 18-year-old fled from her bedroom and to the graveyard in a desperate attempt to evade Meena.

The episode ended with the pair on the humpback bridge, as Meena tossed Leanna over the side.

But fans were baffled as to why Leanna didn't take a more direct path to the village, perhaps to alert her fellow villagers or her dad Liam to her pursuer.

One quickly posted on social media: "What a load of rubbish, as if you'd leave the house and instead of running to where everyone is in the village, you go to the cemetery then a country road and stop on a bridge."

Someone else followed up: "Bloody stupid, she would have run to a public place! Here we go again, no shouting. Another long drawn out story!"

"Laughable this. Leanna got no phone to call for help? Couldn't have gone to pub where people are? Only option was to run to a secluded graveyard? Utter tosh!" a third fan agreed.
