EastEnders’ Peter Beale actor Thomas Law looks unrecognisable 11 years after leaving the soap

FORMER EastEnders star Thomas Law looks completely different 11 years after leaving the soap.

Thomas, 29, joined the BBC1 show as Peter Beale in 2006 and played the character until 2010, before being eventually replaced by Ben Hardy.

He left the show to "pursue other endeavours" and Peter Beale was also absent from Albert Square until Ben's arrival in 2013.

But it seems that Thomas' career has been going from strength to strength since his exit.

A glance at Thomas' Instagram reveals that, as well as acting, he's also a musician these days and last month shared a creative cover of Santa Claus is Coming to Town with his followers.

Dotted among other musical covers on his grid are a couple of topless selfies, revealing Thomas' physical transformation – looking worlds away from skinny Peter Beale.

Earlier this year Thomas appeared in series two of ITV drama The Bay, playing DC Eddie Martin.

Discussing how different working on a drama was compared to starring in a soap, he said: "It wowed me and it made me up my game, the pressure of it, it really made me smile.

"I went home and was so impressed by how classy and cool it was.

"EastEnders was brilliant as well, it’s so fast you actually just live your character on set, they could throw something at you at any time and you just do it."

The Bay is set in Morcombe and Thomas revealed that meant it took work to find a convincing accent.

He said: "DC Martin is from up north so I had to try and find an accent that the locals liked to laugh at but I think we got there in the end with it.

I worked with Lindsay Caulson who I knew from EastEnders, Julia Ford the Director I’d worked with before… so as an actor it was so comfortable and such a great experience.  It was also very cold!"

Thomas also revealed he'll be back for the third series, telling The Version: "I can't say anything about it, but we're doing season 3 of The Bay and I can't wait!"
