EastEnders fans baffled as Vinny looks ‘completely different’ after soap return

EastEnders fans insisted Vinny Panesar looked "totally different" while watching this evening's episode, though many struggled to figure out why.

The wannabe DJ returned to Walford after many months offscreen, as BBC One suspended production during the lockdown.

While Vinny formerly worked a cropped fringe and a full beard, this evening's episode saw him working an entirely different look.

With his hair swept off his face and a clean-shaven face, the club employee was a transformed version of his old self.

Taking to Twitter, surprised viewers remarked over the change, with some noticing a shave was behind the makeover.

One said: "So many lockdown haircuts in Eastenders. Vinny especially looks unrecognisable."

"Can someone tell me if thats the same vinny in eastenders," added a second.

And a third chimed: "Wait, who’s that? Is that a new Vinny?"

While a fourth exclaimed: "Vinny looks so young without the facial hair, it really makes a difference with the power dynamic between the brothers."
