Eamonn Holmes backed for This Morning return by fans after he slams Phil and Holly in furious rant | The Sun

EAMONN Holmes has been backed by fans for a return to This Morning following Phillip Schofield's shock exit.

Over the weekend Phil, 61, confirmed he was leaving This Morning with immediate effect after his fall-out with co-host Holly Willoughby.

Eamonn, 63 – who was previously dropped from his role on the ITV show – today slammed Phil and Holly in a scathing rant.

But fans on Twitter think it's time he made a return.

One wrote: "I would truly like Eamonn to return to This Morning."

Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary have stepped in after Holly revealed she is taking a break.

But another fan said: "Alison isn’t going to make me watch atm really miss Ruth and Eamonn."

And a third insisted: "This is why viewers loved Eamonn & Ruth on This Morning. Genuine. Phil & Holly fake."

Speaking today on GB News, Eamonn raged: "He was sacked. All this nonsense of 'I've decided to step down'. I’m sure you did – here’s your P45 now step down."

Mimicking ITV golden girl Holly, Eamonn went on: "And she says: 'Oh, the couch will not be the same without him being there'. Well she wanted him not there. So what is she moaning about? They deserve each other I suppose.
