Danniella Westbrook has issued fans with an update following surgery.
The former EastEnders actress, who portrayed Sam Mitchell, was taken into hospital at the end of October following a sinus infection that could’ve spread to her brain.
She revealed last week that she was ‘overwhelmed’, as she was waiting to go into theatre, and now she has updated fans in the wake of her operation.
‘Thanks for all the messages of support for my operation,’ the soap star, 47, said on Twitter.
‘It was a huge success and I’m so happy thank you to @LivHospitals and the best staff surgical team and cleanest hospital ever x # NHS #Liverpool.’
Fans were quick to send their love in the comments, with one writing: ‘Fabulous sweetie, wish you a speedy recovery.’

One more wrote: ‘Relieved to hear you’re ok. Was a bit concerned for a minute there. Take care.’
It was reported last month that Danniella was rushed to hospital following a sinus infection with fears the illness could spread to her brain.
Later updates revealed that she was out of ICU and considering surgery options to prevent a repeat trip further down the line.
‘She is being seen by a specialist over the next few days to discuss options and surgery to stop this from happening again,’ an insider said at the time.
Danniella told her followers last week that she was in hospital, awaiting surgery.
‘Waiting to go to theater,’ she wrote on Instagram at the time. ‘Feel so overwhelmed and full of hope and gratitude. Huge thanks to the most amazing surgeons and @nhs team x #gratitude #nhs#liverpool.’
