Coronation Street viewers are set for some serious drama next week which could change the lives of Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), Carla Connor (Alison King), Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).
Peter falls into the deep end and relapses, with his drinking seeing him end up in hospital with a worried Carla concerned.
Billy and Paul could be on the rocks thanks to even more meddling from Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce).
And Craig's interference in bad lad businessman Ray Crosby's (Max Frost) dodgy dealings could see him lose his dream job as a police man.
Peter hospital dash
Peter and Carla argue over little Oliver's situation with Carla left hurt by the confrontation.
Later, Peter is beaten up by a thug when he refuses to give him a lift in his taxi.
The thug steals his cab and a passerby offers Peter a swig from his hip flask and he fails to fight off his addiction demons and takes a drink.
At home, he keeps the drinking secret from Carla, though it's soon exposed by Abi Franklin (Sally Carman), with Carla eventually prying the truth from him.
Later, Peter ends up in a bar and is barely conscious.
Johnny (Richard Hawley) and Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Mathews) take him the drunk chap to hospital.
At hospital, Peter tells Carla he loves her – but how will she react?
However it seems Peter has well and truly slipped, as Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) later find him with an unopened bottle of whisky in Victoria Garden.
Billy and Paul 'split'
Paul is struggling to stay awake at work and when he nips to the toilet Todd swaps some delivery boxes meant for the hospital.
Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brian) has a go at Paul, but he tells her to stick her job and walks off.
Later on, she offers him the job back and says he has Todd to thank for persuading her to keep him around.
Paul thanks Todd, who invites himself and Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) around for a chippy tea.
Back at the flat, Todd plies him with booze and persuades him to try on Billy's religious robes.
But Billy comes home and is seriously unimpressed when he sees Paul in his vicar garb.
Later in the week, Sean has a go at Todd and tells him to stop trying to drive a wedge between Paul and Billy.
Craig job threat
Coronation Street spoilers – Leanne affair, Alina sex revenge and child tragedy
Ray asks Craig for some advice on security after the gun heist, but he later finds Craig in the office studying Ray's plans to redevelop the street.
In a bid to buy Craig's silence, he offers him and Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) a free meal at the Bistro.
Later on, Ray tells Craig he'll put in a good word for him with the Chief Inspector as long as he stays quiet about the redevelopment plans.
Ray then offers Faye a role as trainee manager across his entire hotel and restaurant chain, which she's excited about.
He threatens Craig, telling him he'll make sure he loses his job and that Faye will be fired too if he blabs.
Could poor Craig be about to lose his dream job over a battle of what's wrong and what's right?
