Channel 4s Gogglebox star Tom Malone unrecognisable in childhood throwback snap

Gogglebox's Tom Malone Jr treated his online followers to an adorable blast-from-the-past image of himself from about 15 years ago, and he looked completely different.

The 28-year-old former Channel 4 star took to Instagram to offer his 312,000 fans the opportunity to ask him anything during a live Q&A session.

During the honest segment, one inquisitive fan asked: "What did you look like when you were younger?"

Much to fans delight, Tom had scanned through his archives to dig out an old picture of himself and he must have been no older than age three.

Looking totally unrecognisable in the unearthed pic, he boasted long blonde locks that had been trimmed into the famed 90s style, the bowl head cut.

The bowl head trim went down in history books as one of the worst hairdos of it's time – with mum's literally using the round kitchen objects to create the look themselves from home.

However with that said, a young Tom Jr appeared to pull off the hairstyle as he smiled for the camera in the cute throwback image.

Captioning the sweet snap, Tom joked: "Unless you mean all the way back when I looked like this cool guy."

Meanwhile, Tom recently announced his next career adventure with girlfriend Bryony Briscoe as the pair prepare for the next series of Celebrity Coach Trip.

The professional dancer is now a free agent when it comes to TV opportunities after he'd officially quit Gogglebox last year following a six years reign on the popular programme.

Announcing the news at the time, he told fans: "So excited to announce that we'll be on this year's Celebrity Coach Trip!"

"It was a wild trip with some crazy characters, but we loved every minute!"

While Tom is excited about his future, he also explained to Digital Spy that he'd actually missed some of the "simple" things about the Channel 4 show.

He told the publication: "It was nice to sit down with my family and just watch TV.

"When you move out as an adult you don't the time to do the simple things like that often and Gogglebox gave us a reason to keep doing it."

Another perk for Tom was the free takeaways that were offered up to stars of the show when filming, with the dancer adding: "That was the best part of the show hands down"
