This past year has been a tough one for Lisa Vanderpump. The reality star and restaurateur has lost her brother and mom, she had to deal with her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars ganging up on her over #puppygate, and Bravo refused to air some of the philanthropic efforts that are extremely important to her.
All of this led to her decision to leave RHOBH after nine seasons, and now there are rumors that LVP is considering moving Vanderpump Rules to another network. As executive producer of the Bravo show, does she have the power to do that?
Lisa Vanderpump was ‘dealt a dirty hand‘
According to an insider at OK! Magazine, halfway through Season 9 of RHOBH, Vanderpump stopped filming with the rest of the cast because she was tired of her co-stars disrespecting her. However, she continued to film by herself, and Bravo cameras followed her around as she worked on her various philanthropic efforts.
The cameras were on hand when Lisa Vanderpump filmed a PSA for The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization that works to prevent suicide in the LGBTQ youth community, a cause that is very important to Vanderpump. However, Bravo cut the scenes from RHOBH, so they never made the broadcast.

Vanderpump slammed the network forrefusing to air the footage, and an insider says that LVP feels Bravo “dealt adirty hand” to her this season. This has reportedly caused major tensionbetween her and Bravo.
Shopping ‘Vanderpump Rules’ to other networks
As soon as Vanderpump announced she was leaving RHOBH and skipping the Season 9 reunion, a report surfaced that claimed Vanderpump was so frustrated with Bravo that she was shopping Vanderpump Rules to other networks.
“It should come as no surprise thatLisa is considering offers from competitor networks that treat their talentwith dignity and respect,” claimed an insider. “Lisa always wins.”
At the same time, the statement from Bravo regarding Lisa Vanderpump’s departure seemed rather vague. Instead of talking about Vanderpump, they urged fans to continue watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“There is so much great drama andfun still to come this season including the ladies’ trip to France, so beforewe focus on next season, let’s see where this one takes us,” read Bravo’sstatement.
Lisa Vanderpump shuts down the rumors
It didn’t take long, though, for LVPto shut down the rumors that VanderpumpRules would move to another network. She tweeted that she never said shewas shopping the show and told outlets that they shouldn’t report the falsestory.
It isn’t clear if Vanderpump has thepower to move the show, but if she wanted to go to war with Bravo, she doeshave options. She cannot allow filming at any of her restaurants, and if hername is trademarked, she can force them to stop using it.

However, it doesn’t appear that things are at that point, and Vanderpump Rules will remain on Bravo. “The show was born on Bravo… That’s going to stay on Bravo,” said Lisa Vanderpump.
Putting#puppygate behind her
The saga of LucyLucy Apple Juicedominated the majority of Season 9 of RHOBH,and fans might not ever know the truth behind who leaked the story to themedia. However, Vanderpump is putting the drama behind her, and she is donewith the mean-girling she experienced from her castmates.
“I think they’ve made it prettyimpossible for me to go back, frankly,” said Vanderpump. “And, I have noinclination to reunite with the women who’ve been harassing me for ten monthsnow.”
Vanderpump is now focusing on hercharity work more than ever before, and she recently won the Legacy Award at the7th annual Real to Reel: Portrayals andPerceptions of LGBTs in Hollywood event.
After winning the award, Lisa Vanderpump said that it was a poignant moment for her, especially after her departure from RHOBH. She added that being at the event was a “feel-good factor,” and after a negative year, she finally feels like she is moving forward.
Vanderpump Rules will return with new episodes later this year on Bravo.
