The path to A-Level results day has been fraught with difficulty for Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield), who found herself pushed to the edge by the pressure being put on her to get good grades. As a result she started taking pills to keep herself awake but ended up suffering a breakdown and running away from home and into danger.
The time has come for the EastEnders teen to open that all important results envelope and anxieties could well be at an all time high again – but Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) determines to be strong for her daughter. However, she soon gets a big surprise when she looks at her daughter’s laptop and discovers that she has been looking at options other than university.
Sonia is horrified after everything Bex put herself through for her exams but is it actually the right decision for Bex to take a change of path? And will Sonia listen to her reasoning or angrily confront her?
As Sonia anxiously waits to hear what grades Bex has got, Bex contemplates the future that she really wants. Regardless of the results she gets, is she being put off of the idea of taking the academic route? With the pressure the A-Levels put on her, does she feel strong enough for even bigger challenges at university?
Back home, Bex opens her results – but it remains to be seen whether these will help her make her decision.
