A Place in the Sun presenter Danni Menzies helped Karen and Peter from Liverpool find their dream home in Spain.
In Wednesday's episode of the Channel 4 show (June 2) the property expert was in the sunny city of Tarragona in Catalonia.
The search seemed to be off for a good start when Peter told Danni he could "go home" as soon as he clapped eyes on property number one in Ampolla.
It was 100% self-sufficient which appealed to the eco-friendly couple, with its own solar panels and a communal well for water that was shared with one neighbour.
The home was a four-bedroom, four-bathroom property on two levels with a pool.
"Let’s put in an offer and go home," Peter said confidently, before agreeing to step inside.
Danni's luck did not last long and soon the couple were finding faults with the villa, which was on the market for £225,455.
Karen said: "It feels a bit small. It’s enclosed and feels cramped with our family of 11."
Her verdict of the kitchen was similarly lukewarm and Peter was not impressed either.

"It’s dated and a bit dull, it doesn’t excite me," she said.
Peter, who seemed to have mixed feelings, later told Danni: "This is definitely a contender.
"We just need a room where we can fit 11 people and can spend less time working on it."
The couple then fell in love with property number three, a four-bed house in Freginals valued at £222,727.
Karen even began to well up with tears as she looked around the property with Peter.

"Over the years thinking about this move, I didn’t think I would get upset," Karen said as she began to cry over the beauty of the view.
The couple saw a further two properties, but none of them could compare and they made a "cheeky" offer significantly below the asking price.
It was rejected but the couple accepted a counteroffer of £186,000, a discount of more than £30,000, leaving Danni staggered.
