Man arrested in connection with death of Ariana Grande’s former boyfriend Mac Miller

Charges were brought against Cameron James Pettit, 28, for allegedly supplying Miller with counterfeit oxycodone pills, which were laced with fentanyl.

In a 42-page report, obtained by NBC news, it's alleged that Miller approached Pettit after requesting "percs", a term used for the heavy painkiller Percocet, as well as multiple other drugs.

The report detailed alleged Instagram messages between Pettit and others, which reportedly show the alleged dealer reacting to Mac's death.

They reportedly read: "I think I should probably not post anything… just to be smart."

He added: "I am not great… most likely I will die in jail."

Mac Miller was found dead on September 7 2018, aged just 26.

Two months after his death, Los Angeles County Coroner's Office released a toxicology report, which stated that the hit maker had fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol in his system when he died.

The Hurt Feelings rapper battled addiction in the past.

Speaking to Fader magazine in 2016, he said: "I'm always like, if someone's like 'you wanna try this?' I'm just like 'yeah, sure.' "And then it just kinda f**ks you up if you've got a bunch of money because if you try a drug, you like it, you can buy a lot of it."

The rapper dated Ariana Grande for two years, from 2016 to May 2018.

Following his death, the Thank U, Next singer paid tribute to Mac, real name Malcolm Miller, with the lyric: "Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm, cause he was an angel."
