Madonna postpones Brooklyn NY show after Queen of Pop, 61, suffers knee injury

Pop icon Madonna has announced she will be postponing Monday night's Brooklyn Academy of Music residence show after she sustained a knee injury.

A statement posted on her website read: “Unfortunately, Madonna’s Madame X concert this evening at BAM Howard Gilman Opera House is postponed.

“Madonna is currently dealing with a knee injury and has been advised rest for the next three days to assist in her recovery.

“Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets pending information on rescheduling.

“The Madame X concerts this Thursday, October 10th and Saturday, October 12th are expected to proceed as scheduled.

“We regret the inconvenience to fans. Thank you for understanding.”

The 61-year-old posted on Instagram that she is “not a quitter” and it is hard to admit to being a human made of flesh and blood.

She went on to say: “This hurts me more than you can imagine."

Madge kicked off her theatre tour in October after a delay of almost a month after decades of huge arena worldwide arena tours.

The set is said to be much more intimate than her usual huge production shows.

Madonna rescheduled several Madame X dates last week, after the opening night of her Chicago show was originally set for October 15th was pushed back despite no reason being given.

Her Halloween show for San Francisco has also been pushed back to November 5th citing production issues as the reason.
