In August 2018, CCTV footage obtained by The Sun, showing Oasis star Liam Gallagher, 46, appearing to grab his girlfriend by the throat.
Both Liam, 46, and Debbie Gwyther, 37, who he recently got engaged to, have always denied the alleged altercation.
The Wonderwall singer had taken Debbie to celeb hotspot Chiltern Firehouse when the incident allegedly occurred.
Speaking at the time, Debbie who used to work as Liam’s PA told the Mirror both she and Liam were just “messing around”.
While Liam also shot down allegations of assault on Twitter.
The star got candid about the alleged incident in his latest interview with The Sunday People. He admitted the scrutiny affected the couple. Liam explained: “It was horrible.
“She was reading about me and all my past, it was not nice for her but she is still here for me.”
Liam added: "We have our little ding-dongs like everyone, but I think we get on really good."
“All of the stuff she has been through with me, all of the b*****ks, that was pressure, she had never been in the papers before, she has adjusted to it.”
Speaking about the pair’s upcoming nuptials, Liam added: “I think she deserves a lovely day.”
Liam is reported to have proposed to long-term girlfriend Debbie last month while the pair were enjoying a trip to Italy’s Amalfi Coast.
His mum Peggy Gallagher, who joined the pair on their vacay, was reported to have witnessed the romantic proposal.
Liam admitted his mum has made him invite brother Noel, who he has a famously tumultuous relationship with, to the lovebirds’ wedding ceremony.
