Kim Kardashian struggles to get famous bum in Met Gala dress in new video

Kim Kardashian stunned the world on Monday after she stepped onto the red carpet at 2022's Met Gala in an iconic dress.

The reality TV star posed up a storm for the cameras as she turned heads in a historic gown that was worn by Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe – estimated to cost £4million.

It's best recognised as the dress Marilyn wore as she sang Happy Birthday to President John F Kennedy.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star created controversy with her look, after she revealed that she had to drop a whopping 16lbs to fit into the garment.

Brand new and behind-the-scenes footage reveals that Kim's juicy butt originally struggled to fit into the 60-year-old piece of clothing.

The star admitted that she "wanted to cry" after discovering that dress didn't fit but was determined to make it work months ahead of the big day.

Just 10 days ahead of the Met, new footage revealed by Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, showed Kim struggling to squeeze the dress over her infamous curves.

The team of helpers struggled to fit the iconic gown over Kim's backside, attempting to not damage the dress, whilst assisting with white gloves.

She was joined alongside her new beau Pete Davidson who watched on helplessly before offering a helping hand.

"Dear Lord," Kim tried to make light of the situation. "Should we sing ‘Hallelujah’ or something?”

“Kim, push it! Push your a**!” Kim's hairstylist Chris instructed while Pete held the front of the dress.

After a team effort to get the dress onto the star's curvy body, the group were unable to fasten the zip and had to result in using a handy bit of string.

Kim was relieved about the outcome despite the large effort that it took to get there and quickly came up with a resolution.

“Can we use that tie and tie it and keep it open?” she said. “What if we did that and put a fur over?”

“Oh my god, we can maybe fake it?!” she gushed.

After Kim's team gave their approval, she had to undergo the ultimate test – the "step test" – which would ensure that she could walk up the iconic Met staircase, while keeping the dress intact.

After a little bit of stumbling and holding tightly onto Pete's hand, the brunette beauty was prepared to make the outfit work for the big day.

On Monday, the star's jaw-dropping look stunned onlookers as she and boyfriend Pete made their Met Gala debut after years of posing alongside her former husband Kanye West.
