Kim Kardashian looked breathtaking as she turned heads at the red carpet of the glitzy Met Gala on Monday night (May 2).
The 41-year-old billionaire turned up the heat rocking a staggering $5million (£4m) frock that was once owned by actress Marilyn Monroe.
Appearing transformed at the studded New York City event., Kim morphed into her Hollywood hero as she posed for the camera wearing the same gown that Marilyn had once worn to wish president John F Kennedy a happy birthday.
To complete her epic image overhaul, she captivated all of the attention with her newly dyed platinum blond locks.
The reality star was also joined by new boyfriend Pete Davidson who sported dark shades and an all black suit teamed with a white shirt.
On the red carpet Kim revealed that the iconic gown had not fitted her famous curves when she'd first attempted to try on the garment.
However, Kim knew instantly that it was the gown for her and would stop at nothing to be able to wear it.
Instead, the business mogul decided to take on an epic diet plan and exercise regime in order to ensure she fitted into the glitzy gown in time.
Kim revealed that she lost a whopping 16 pounds to be able to wear the dress that was 60 years old.
She said: "This is Marilyn Monroe's dress. It's 60 years old.
"I had this idea to put it on and try it on. They came with armed guards and gloves. I tried it on and it didn't fit me. I had to lose 16 pounds."
The reality star added: "I was determined to fit it… I did it…"
Giving some insight into her diet she admitted to completely giving up carbs and sugar for three weeks.
It had been speculated now for quite a few weeks now that Kim was going to Marilyn's famous outfit that she wore to sing happy birthday to President John F Kennedy on his 45th birthday on May 19, 1962.
Marilyn had purchased the transparent dress that was designed by costume designer Jean-Louis for a reported $1,440 (£1,150) with the dress selling at auction years later for a whopping $1m (£800k).
Last month Kim was spotted leaving the Ripley's Museum in Orlando where the frock had been housed – which sent the rumour mill into overdrive that she would be wearing the iconic piece.
