A SUPERMARKET chain is considering shutting more stores after a string of closures earlier this year.
The Co-op is to close, or has closed, six of it stores across the UK.
Some of the stores had different closing dates, while the future of other branches are yet to be deciced.
It is understood Co-op closed its branches in Princess Drive, Grantham, in January, as well as a store in Linthorpe Village, Middlesbrough and Lodge Lane, Bridgnorth.
The Co-op store in Folkestone Central Train Station has also closed, but it is set to reopen in a few weeks time following a period of renovation.
Co-op bosses are also considering closing the convenience store in Ombersley Road, Claines.

A spokesman told The Sun that a decision on its future has not yet been made.
The locations and dates they'll be shutting their doors are:
- Princess Drive, Grantham – closed in January
- Linthorpe Village, Middlesbrough – closed in January
- Lodge Lane, Bridgnorth – closed in January
- Folkestone Central Train station – closed for renovation
- Ombersley Road, Claines – to be confirmed
The Sun has asked Co-op to confirm the future of its store in Claines and we will update this story when we know more.

Marks and Spencer previously confirmed the closure of more than half a dozen stores across the country.
The high street has also seen big name brands including M&Co and Paperchase collapse into administration.
M&Co's 170 shops will close forever, putting 1,910 jobs at risk.
