A very savvy bargain spotter has revealed how she managed to bag £150 worth of goods from retailer Boots, for just under £17.
51 year old Debbie Wright, from Falkirk in Scotland bagged herself a multitude of bargains which included everything from shampoo bars to luxury gift sets.
The retail worker appears to be quite the bargain hunter, revealing: "I like to pop into stores regularly to check on the sales, and I recently got hold of 15 bargains in a Boots haul.
I managed to pick up gift sets, tea selections, shampoo and body scrub bars, and more. As the sale was 90% off I only paid £16 for a haul which was worth just over £150.’
Debbie’s first stop was the gift set aisle, where she picked up two Julien Macdonald Beauty Post Party kits, which were originally £20 each and reduced to £2 each, saving her £36 in total.
The next bargains were cosmetics, as she spotted two Kikki K gift sets that were originally £10 each and reduced to £1 each – that's a further saving of £18. Whilst there, she grabbed an eco-friendly cosmetics bag for just £1.40 – that was £14 originally.
Two Paxton & Pepper calm and reflective sleep gift sets, two BBC Earth shampoo bars and two body scrub bars, as well as two boxes of Twinings tea sets also made their way into her basket, all at discounted prices.
She said: "I’ve received a lot of discounts by getting email alerts for sales on Amazon and Shein, and also checking LatestDeals.co.uk for their daily messages. Their Facebook page also has some really good offers.
"In the past, I have picked up a hairdryer for under £10 and an Amazon glitch meant I picked up 54 rolls of toilet paper for just £5.50.
‘With Boots, I tend to keep watching the sales as they start at 50% off and after a while it’s 70% off then finally 90%, which is when I go in to get a bargain haul.’
Tom Church, co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, said: ‘Keeping an eye out for sales will always pay off, as Debbie has proven. She paid just 11% of the original price for this haul – what an amazing set of bargains!
‘Being savvy with your shopping and stocking up on discount items means you never run out of ideas for special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas.’
