The daughter of one of Britain’s first gay dads has revealed her parents will spend £200,000 on Christmas gifts this year – on top of £50,000 on food and decorations.
Saffron Drewitt-Barlow, 21, told how her ‘Daddy’ Barrie, 51, is ‘Christmas crazy’ and always goes ‘over the top’ to make sure they have a great time and are spoilt rotten.
Despite Barrie splitting from husband Tony, 55, last year and getting engaged to Saffron’s ex-boyfriend Scott Hutchison, 25, in August, the family still live together in a Florida mansion where they’ll celebrate the festive season.
Bisexual Scott and Barrie, who was born in Manchester, welcomed a daughter, Valentina, in September. Saffron revealed her first Christmas gift will be a custom-made while Bentley baby supercar – while Barrie has bought his fiancé a Range Rover.

‘In total, Dad and Daddy will spend about £200,000 on everyone’s gifts,’ she told Closer magazine.
‘Valentina isn’t even one yet but she’ll be getting a custom made baby white Bentley. For my first Christmas I got a baby Mercedes so it’s a bit of a tradition in our family.
‘Dad and Scott are also going to invest in some diamond rings and put them in a safety deposit for her when she’s older.’

Saffron said her family always looks forward to Christmas and begin planning the big day in October, with her parents buying brand new trees and decorations every year.
They also splash out on mountains of Champagne and food, spending around £50,000 on their ‘prep’.
Saffron acknowledged most families can’t spend anywhere near what they do, and said they try to give back by donating food and blankets to the homeless.
‘[Daddy] always talks about how he grew up with no money, so he goes over the top to make sure we have the best Christmas ever,’ she told the publication.
‘We know how lucky we are, especially when so many are struggling financially due to the pandemic.’

On the day their Christmas dinner will be cooked by a team of professional chefs as well as their full-time cook, and the clean-down is managed by the cleaner and housekeeper.
Saffron admitted she has been spoilt since she was born and has always worn designer clothes – meaning her wardrobe is now worth around £1million, not to mention her jewellery collection which contains a £400,000 diamond ring.
‘This year I’m getting money for a deposit on an apartment in Manchester,’ she added.
‘I want to spend more time in the UK and I fell in love with a penthouse in the city.’
She admitted it’s hard to buy gifts for her wealthy family, but enjoys treating her siblings and her parents now she’s earning her own money since launching make-up brand Barking Mad cosmetics two years ago.
Earlier this month Saffron revealed she has offered to donate her eggs to help her father and Scott have more children together.
Saffron told how she’s known Scott since she was 13, when he came to work for the family as a personal assistant, and he’s one of her best friends (pictured with Barrie)
‘I don’t think Daddy likes the idea too much, as he’d be the biological grandparent of the child and Scott would be the biological dad, but I really want to help,’ she told Closer.
‘I’ve already frozen my eggs for them, so Daddy and Scott just have to say the word.’
Saffron insisted it’s certainly not the case that there’s a ‘weird love triangle’ between her, her father and her ex.

Saffron added that they dated briefly when she was 18, but they quickly realised they weren’t right for each other.

Barrie previously told how he and Scott can’t wait to add to their brood, and are already underway for a surrogate to have twins.
Barrie and Tony hit headlines in 1999 when they became the first same sex couple to be formally registered as parents to twins Saffron and Aspen, born via surrogate.
Barrie already had a son from a previous relationship, and the couple, who made their millions through ventures including a surrogacy agency and medical research firm, became civil partners in 2006 and married in 2014.
But Barrie previously told how they ‘slid into a platonic relationship’ after Tony was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2006.

Last year Barrie announced that Tony remained his ‘true love’ but they had ended their 32-year relationship.
Speaking about Valentina, Barrie said Tony was ‘excited’ about the new arrival, but it was ‘bittersweet’ because it underlined the fact their relationship was over.
Saffron told how Tony has been unwell for much of her life and sat her down to explain that his relationship with Barrie had become platonic – and he’d given him and Scott his blessing.
She added that Tony ‘doesn’t have long left’ – and wants to die still married to Barrie, his ‘first love’. However, Barrie wants a divorce so that he can marry Scott.
