Police have launched a murder investigation after a man died following an early-morning assault in a city centre.
Officers were called to the scene in Cardiff shortly before 5am on Sunday following reports of an assault.
The man was located with injuries and was pronounced dead.
He has not yet been formally identified.
Police sealed off the area in the city centre and a helicopter was hovering over the scene.
Detectives have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information about the alleged murder to come forward.
