Call him when you want, call him when you need — to make a fashion statement, that is.

Ever since hitting it big with “Old Town Road” in 2019, Lil Nas X has never been one to shy away from internet-breaking styles, from his full-fledged drag tribute to Nicki Minaj to his highly controversial “Satan Shoes.”

And on Sunday’s BET Awards 2021 red carpet, the 22-year-old Grammy winner truly outdid himself in a dramatic oversized gown from young designer Andrea Grossi.

Comprised of a larger-than-life bustled skirt, a zippered corset, suspenders and a matching jacket, the gender-fluid look also featured a toile-style print that referenced themes of war and religion — a perfect pick for the eyebrow-raising rapper.

But that wasn’t Lil Nas X’s only outfit of the evening; moments later, he reemerged on the carpet in a blinged-out, ’70s-style Richard Quinn pantsuit decorated with floral embroidery and crystal embellishments.

For accessories, the “Holiday” singer went with all-diamond everything, including sparkling studs, a simple band and diamond grills. His signature painted nails and platform boots provided the finishing touches.

Lil Nas X posted a series of photos recapping the night on Monday morning, which included snaps from his performance of “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” for which he changed into a gilded breastplate, skirt and crown straight out of ancient Egypt.

The performance was an ode to Michael Jackson’s iconic 1991 “Remember the Time” music video, complete with a dance breakdown and costumes that would make Cleopatra jealous. The status quo-defying rapper even planted a kiss on one of his male dancers onstage.

Fellow celebrities reached out over social media to show their support, with Diddy tweeting, “Lil Nas X did that!! Be fearless!!!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿”.
