It’s really easy to walk around the shop floor, and you can zoom in and out on certain things, making the whole experience a truly realistic one.

The shop has been broken up into Christmas Forest, the Home of Christmas and the Festive Footpath, so you have lots of areas to explore.

And there’s a whopping 40 styles of tree to choose from, which is either a blessing or a curse because you’ll be given so much choice!

One tree up for grabs is the spectacular Symphony Tree which plays Christmas classics, including Deck the Halls and Carol of the Sugar Plums. Truly magical!

What else can you expect?

Of course, there are also Christmas lights on display – 1,500 in fact on the Festive Footpath, as well as many a bauble.

Dan Cooper, head of Christmas at John Lewis & Partners, said: "We know that Christmas might look a little different to our customers this year, with smaller celebrations at home and video calls to loved ones.

"But we also know that many are looking forward to the small joys that the festive season brings: from decorated fireplaces to wreaths on doors. Our customers are planning earlier than ever to revel in the festivities and likely spread out the tasks to avoid any last minute rushes.

"This year we have created a Christmas shop that will of course delight and inspire our customers but we have also focused on making it a simple journey that means they can tick off their list happily and safely."

You can find the virtual tour on the John Lewis website.
