Joan Collins will appear on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories on ITV tonight. The interview marks Joan’s 70th year in the film and television business.

Joan Collins has made millions from her long and successful career as an actress.

Her net worth is estimated to be around $50million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

That’s equivalent to £36million.

The British star’s impressive fortune is thanks to her iconic appearances on TV programmes and films such as Dynasty, The Royals, and American Horror Story.

Joan was born in Paddington, north London, in 1933.

The 88-year-old made her stage debut in the Henrik Ibsen play A Doll’s House at the age of nine before going on to train as an actress at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when she was 16.

At the age of 17, Joan was signed to British film studio the Rank Organisation.

Her British film career began in 1951 with the movie Lady Godiva Rides Again, followed by The Woman’s Angle.

The actress’ big break came in 1952 when she was given the role of a juvenile delinquent in Believe In You.

In the films that followed, Joan co-starred with big names such as Joan Fontaine, Kenneth More, and Gloria Grahame.

She also appeared in several London plays at this time, including The Skin of Our Teeth and The Seventh Veil.

In 1954, Joan landed a role in her first international production, the American film Land of the Pharaohs.

A year later, the actress made her Hollywood film debut in the historical drama The Virgin Queen.

Since then, Joan has starred alongside Richard Burton in Sea Wife and Gregory Peck in The Bravados.

More films and TV shows followed until she was cast as Alexis Colby in Dynasty in 1981.

The American soap opera was a worldwide phenomenon and Joan was nominated six times for a Golden Globe Award.

She won the award in 1983, which was the same year she was also nominated for an Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

Joan’s more recent films and TV shows include British sitcom Benidorm, E! drama The Royals, and the well-known American Horror Story series.

Last month, it was announced that Joan would have a role in the musical film Tomorrow Morning, which is based on the acclaimed musical play of the same name.

The film is due to be released in the spring next year.

Joan has been married five times, her first husband being Northern Irish actor Maxwell Reed.

She married Maxwell in 1952 before the couple divorced in 1956.

Joan’s fifth and current husband is Percy Gibson, whom she married in 2002.

The actress has three grandchildren and lives between London, Los Angeles, New York City, and St Tropez.

Joan was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 1997 New Year Honours for services to drama, before being promoted to a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in 2015.
