Jaffa Cakes limited lemon and lime flavour is back and customers are thrilled

When you think of your favourite biscuit, how many spring to mind?

Perhaps the humble custard cream, or sophisticated bourbon run through your thoughts, or maybe even everyone's favourite, the Jaffa Cake?

And it's good news for Jaffa Cake fans, as the much loved treat is coming back with a flavour instalment that Brits couldn't get enough of.

Today, McVitie’s have announced the return of the Lemon & Lime Flavour to the McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes range.

Jaffa Cakes Lemon & Lime Flavour will be available in recyclable sharing boxes of 10 from supermarkets on January 3, retailing for £1.20 per pack.

Originally launched as a limited-edition flavour in 2018, the zesty lemon and lime star of the show is back by popular demand – bringing some life to the party for flavour-seekers this New Year.

Fans have been calling for the return of Jaffa Cakes Lemon & Lime Flavour since their original run ended, and McVitie’s couldn’t help but oblige.

The snack time treat with a twist. McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes features the iconic crackly dark chocolate, springy sponge layers of the original McVitie's Jaffa Cakes with an unashamedly tangy and undeniably tasty citrus flavoured centre.

After listening to the cries of Jaffa Cake fanatics rumbling tummies, McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Lemon & Lime Flavour will be available in supermarkets from January 3.

On social media, fans made their views very known and frequently asked for the flavour to make a comeback.

One snacker commented: “Justice for Lemon & Lime Jaffa Cakes! I need them back in my life ASAP."

Another pleaded: “Sometimes the only ones that made you sad, are the only ones that can make things right again… @jaffacakes you know what you need to do. Please bring back the Lemon & Lime flavour”

Sarah Babb, Marketing Manager for McVitie's Jaffa Cakes at pladis UK&I, said: “McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Lemon & Lime Flavour was a hit when first launched as a limited-edition flavour in 2018. Since then, we’ve been inundated with requests from Jaffanatics to bring back this much-loved flavour.
