Inside Louisa Lyttons honeymoon in Florence and Puglia with baby Aura

She recently tied the knot and exclusively shared her wedding album with OK! , and now Louisa Lytton has given us an insight into herself and new husband Ben Bhanvra’s romantic honeymoon in Italy.

The newlyweds, who married earlier this month in Siena, Tuscany, have been honeymooning in Florence and Puglia with their adorable daughter Aura, 10 months.

And exclusively open up about their dreamy start to married life and new chapter as a family, Louisa tells OK! they have been looking forward to relaxing after the stress of wedding planning.

The pair thought their big day may never come after having to reorganise it three times due to Covid and Aura’s arrival.

“I just felt relieved,” the EastEnders actress tell us of finally saying “I do”.

She continues: “I felt like we had finally done it. It’s the same for any COVID bride. And I think we’re just so relieved. I remember us giggling at the alter, just thinking about how long it took to get us here.”

“Yeah, we couldn’t stop giggling with tears in our eyes,” Ben adds.

Speaking to us from a pop-up restaurant in Puglia, Louisa tells us the couple's honeymoon began with a beautiful but busy two days in Florence, before they took a seven-hour train to Puglia to stay in a villa for the remainder of their trip.

It's here that the pair have been able to finally been able to chill out and reflect on their wedding day.

She adds of their jam-packed break so far: “We tried to do a little bit of sightseeing in Florence, but it’s so hot, it was 40 degrees.

“We spent most of our time pretty much trying to work out when she could nap and how she could not overheat. But it’s cooler down here [Puglia]. And I think it’s the easiest to navigate. We're spending a lot of time relaxing.”

Italy clearly has a special place in the couple’s heart, and Louisa says if she was at a different point in her career, she would consider a permanent move to the country.

“I could live here,” she says. “I honestly wouldn’t go home. I wouldn’t because of work. Honestly, if I was in the line of work that would mean I could be in another country, I would definitely.”

Louisa is currently on maternity leave from the BBC One soap after welcoming Aura into the world in September last year.

But some of her co-stars were still by her side during her and Ben’s nuptials, with close friends Lacey Turner and James Bye both making the journey to Italy to toast them becoming husband and wife.
