DEAR DEIDRE: IF my boyfriend thinks he can blow half his salary on weed when our baby arrives, he’s got another thing coming.
I’m sick of him breaking promises to stop.

We have been together for four years and I never realised how much he smokes until he moved in with me.
I didn’t mean to get pregnant but the Pill didn’t work after I had a tummy upset.
Our baby boy is due next month. I’m panicking as there are still lots of things we will need.
We are both 27. How can I get my boyfriend to give up?
DEIDRE SAYS: You can’t make him do anything he doesn’t want to do.
Perhaps if he sees you get support for his issues, he will realise he needs to grow up and become a responsible partner and father.
You can encourage him to get support too.
Families and friends of addicts, plus drug users themselves, should check out wearewithyou.org.uk.
You can join your local National Childbirth Trust branch (nct.org.uk, 0300 330 0700), which offers emotional support for parents as well as “nearly new” sales of essentials.
