Actor Henry Cavill has shown off a new look for Netflix’s The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia ahead of the release of the show’s second season.
Cavill, who stars as Geralt in the hit series, shared a pair of snaps via Instagram showing the famed monster slayer in a sharp, new get-up. The first photo displays Geralt wearing more shoulder pads than fans are used to, while sporting an impressive set of abs, somewhat. The second image shows him looking over his shoulder, with his iconic white hair and sword on show.
“‘It may turn out,’ said the white-haired man a moment later, ‘that their comrades or cronies may ask what befell these evil men,” Cavill wrote as the caption. “Tell them the Wolf bit them. The White Wolf. And add that they should keep glancing over their shoulders. One day they’ll look back and see the Wolf.’” – From the writings of Andrzej Sapkowski”

Production on the second season of the fantasy series began in August after the team was forced to suspend filming as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re yet to get a release date.
Geralt’s armor from the first season was based on the Kaer Morhen set armor from the video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but Cavill’s revelation doesn’t seem to be based on armor from any of the games and looks like it’s heavier than what Geralt typically wears. The Witcher’s armor is meant to be lightweight so he moves quicker, however, it appears that Geralt will be in for some heavy hits the next time around.
Netflix has also teased Season 2 looks for Yennefer and Ciri but pesky bard Jaskier hasn’t been seen as yet.
