Early birds say they're not sorry for putting their Christmas trees up

It’s beginning to look a lot like… Christmas in NOVEMBER! Festive early birds say they’re ‘not ashamed’ of putting their trees up seven weeks before December 25th

  • With just shy of seven weeks left until Christmas Day, the decorating has begun
  • Keen decorators have delved into the attic/shed and brought out their garlands
  • The #ChristmasinNovember hashtag shows hundreds of recent posts showing people admiring their fully adorned Christmas trees in early November

At the time of writing, there are a whopping 48 days until the man in red arrives on December 25th.  Old Saint Nick still has his feet firmly up and Thanksgiving is still to come.

However, for many full-on festive enthusiasts, the darker nights and colder days mean only one thing, it’s time to deck those halls.

On social media, there are already hundreds of photos of people showing off their yuletide decorations, with baubles gleaming and fairy lights twinkling.

If there’s an undercurrent of admitting it’s way too early – in some people’s eyes, at least – to put up a Christmas tree, those in the yuletide mood are pressing ahead anyway.

One November reveller, seeing the look of delight on her toddler’s face at the sparkly addition to their home, wrote: ‘I 100% acknowledge that it is way too early for this. I also 100% acknowledge that based on her reaction this isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. #Christmasinnovember #likereallyearlynovember’.

Here, Femail round ups the best of the #Christmasinnovember posts:
