Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander pleaded guilty last Tuesday to stalking an unidentified woman.
The 40-year-old, who was arrested in Tennessee on Dec. 30, was given 11 months and 29 days of probation for violating an order of protection and aggravated stalking, District Attorney General Kim Helper told TMZ Monday.
Helper was not immediately available when Page Six reached out for comment.
The plea deal also requires that Alexander undergo random drug testing and a mental health screening, according to the report.
He is also not allowed to come in contact with the unnamed female victim.
Alexander, who was married to Spears for just 55 hours in 2004, has had several run-ins with the law over the past year.
Prior to his latest arrest, he was taken into custody at an airport in Nashville in August 2021 after reportedly trying to cut the security line and going into an off-limits area.
He was also charged that time with a misdemeanor and freed on $2,500 bail.
Before that, in January 2021, Alexander was arrested in Nashville on three misdemeanor charges: driving under the influence, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession or casual exchange of a controlled substance.
The Louisiana native is best known for his short-lived marriage to 40-year-old Spears.
They were childhood friends who decided to tie the knot one night at a Las Vegas chapel. The marriage was then annulled due to pressures from the pop star’s family.
Later that same year, Spears wed backup dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she shares sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15. They divorced in 2007.
Alexander showed he still supports his ex-wife from a distance by participating in a #FreeBritney protest in August 2020 amid her 13-year conservatorship battle.
“She’s really been a prisoner,” he said on a podcast at the time, according to Newsweek. “She’s been playing along with the script but kind of waiting it out.”
Spears, who is now engaged to actor Sam Asghari, was finally freed from her conservatorship in November.
