Usher argues with Chris Brown at party before being 'jumped by his crew'

Things are said to have got heated between Usher and Chris Brown at a recent party.

The US stars were both at the Skate Rock City roller rink in Las Vegas, where Chris was celebrating his 34th birthday.

However, video footage suggests the Loyal hitmaker and OMG singer, 44, didn’t end the night on the friendliest terms.

According to reports, Usher – full name Usher Raymond IV – and his friends sang happy birthday to Chris earlier on, but things later got ugly.

As per TMZ, eyewitnesses spotted Chris attempting to talk to Teyana Taylor, 32, as she sat on a bench just outside the rink.

But it’s believed, for whatever reason, she was ignoring him.

As a result, Chris reportedly became ‘p***ed off’ and began yelling at her, at which point longtime pal Usher intervened to calm the situation down.

However, Chris is said to have started swearing at both Teyana and Usher, but directed most of his anger towards the Yeah! hitmaker.

Eventually, Chris told his crew they were leaving, at which point the group is believed to have exited the venue.

TMZ states that Usher took off his skates and went after them.

According to a witness, Usher went behind a string of charter buses parked outside, which is where Chris and his team were.

A short time later, Usher allegedly emerged with what appeared to be a bloody nose.

It’s not known what happened next, if he went to hospital or filed a police report.

Usher and Chris have actually been friends for several years.

Despite often being pitted against one another in the music world, they’ve remained close and often made it clear that chart rivalry doesn’t bother them.

In fact, in 2020, Chris took to Instagram to show off the Christmas present he received from Usher – which was a motorbike.

Showing his pal wasn’t playing games with gifts that year, Chris, often known as Breezy, showed off his new wheels next to his own racing cars on his drive.

What’s more, the stars have collaborated many times since Chris burst onto the scene, releasing hits such as New Flame and Party.

In a 2017 interview with the Questlove Supreme podcast, Usher admitted that he regretted not working with Chris sooner.

‘There’s one thing in my career that I definitely regret, one thing, and to this day I battle with it which is why I always show support of [Chris] whenever he asks,’ Usher said.

Reps for Usher and Chris Brown have been contacted for comment.
