With how pricey the new Zelda game is, be sure to try and save some money with one of these cheaper than usual pre-orders.
We’re now just under two weeks until the launch of The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom and if you’ve not yet pre-ordered it, it’s probably because of its price tag.
While the UK has avoided a price rise from Breath Of The Wild (unlike the US where the game costs $70 instead of $60), £60 is still pretty steep.
As such, we’ve scoured online to try and find the cheapest pre-orders around, that can save you at least some money on what is already shaping up to be one of the Zelda franchise’s best entries.
We’ve compiled a list of every retailer we could find that’s offering the game for substantially less than the usual £60 (including delivery costs) as well as whether they come with any extra bonuses.
Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom for Nintendo Switch – cheapest pre-orders
Before we get to the full list, it’s clear that Currys has the best offer we could find. While the game is normally £59.99, you can get 20% off by entering a discount code during checkout.
However, be warned: it’s very easy to miss the option to enter it. After entering your delivery options and customer details, you’ll reach payments methods. It’s here you want to enter the code ZELDA20.
To do so, click the text that reads ‘Add a voucher code/gift card’ right above the option to pay by card or PayPal.

Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom – are there multiple editions?
There is a collector’s edition available but you’ll be lucky to find it in stock anywhere, as it sold out very quickly. While it has come back in stock a few times, a lot of the collector’s editions have been snapped up by scalpers, to sell on eBay and elsewhere. Officially the collector’s edition price is £109.99 but already they’re being advertised for £140+ on eBay.
Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom – when does it launch?
The game launches on May 12, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. This being a Nintendo game it’ll never be on any other formats, except… there have been suggestions of an enhanced version for Nintendo’s next console, currently nicknamed the Switch 2.
It’s worth bearing in mind though that those aren’t even rumours, they’re just fan speculation. Nothing has ever been announced by Nintendo, and there’s no evidence for it happening. So if you’re purposefully holding back because you’re waiting for an improved version later you might be waiting a very long time.
