Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter has issued a plea for help on Twitter, revealing that she was being bombarded with text messages by someone who doesn’t “have her number by consent”. The ITV soap favourite, 44, told her fans that the unnamed person wouldn’t leave her alone, resulting in the Chas Dingle star being inundated with advice.

In view of her 255,600 followers, the star shared her concerns.

Lucy wrote: “Can anyone help?

“I’ve been having text messages from someone who doesn’t have my number by consent, and who won’t leave me alone!!!!!

“What do I do????” she added.

The star’s fans were quick to offer their advice in the comments.

Steph Tayor wrote: “Many actors have been stalked recently, I would go straight to the police so at least they have a first lodged complaint and a number noted!

“Then try and block them,” she suggested.

Many other Twitter users also suggested that the star should block the offending number.

But Ryan Beard offered different words of advice.

They penned: “Blocking the number is no use because they’ll just use another phone.

“Not great but I’d change your number otherwise they’ll still have it x.”

One Twitter user had a more tongue in cheek suggestion for the ITV soap star.

But Ryan Beard offered different words of advice.

“See how they like it when the shoe’s on the other foot!” they added with a laughing face emoji.

Earlier this year, Lucy urged her fans to be wary after explaining that she had received a scam call.

Lucy wrote: “Just had a scam call involving an automated message informing me that my NI number was going to be suspended due to criminal activities!!I

“Didn’t follow the instructions, please be aware of these scam calls , apparently there are so many at the moment,” she added.

Two years ago, the actress confirmed that she had split from fiance Rudi Coleano, who she shares three daughters with.

Lucy and Rudi had been engaged for over 12 years, but never officially married.

The actress previously said the pair were tempted to elope back in 2012, but had second thoughts.
