Director Jon M Chu has shared a new update on the upcoming Wicked movie adaptation!
If you recall, the long-awaited film version will be split into two parts.
Now, it was just revealed that the first part’s release date has been moved, but don’t worry, it’s coming sooner than previously announced!

It was first announced that Part 1 will be out in December 2024 for Christmas, however, they’ve decided to move the date up a month.
“WICKED NEWS: We are deep into production on WICKED and everyday we get more and more excited to share with u the mischief we’ve been up to. So…We’ve decided to get it to you all a little earlier than planned. OUR NEW RELEASE Date is NOV 27th 2024! A little Thanksgiving treat!” Jon M Chu, who is directing, revealed.
The director is a huge fan of the Broadway musical and has assured fans that they are taking good care of the adaptation to ensure it is the best possible.
Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey are among the cast, as well as recent Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh!
