Stacey Solomon, 33, headed to a grave site just days before Christmas along with her son. The mum of four took her 5.4 million Instagram followers with her for the journey, explaining she felt a bit of dread towards the holidays now.
Stacey appeared on her Instagram story on Thursday, December 22, in a few clips with her son Rex, three.
The pair went to visit the grave of the family dog Theo, who tragically passed last year.
They were also accompanied by the Solomon’s other two dogs, Teddy and Peanut as they headed down the garden path to Theo’s grave.
Stacey gave Theo’s plaque a quick shine up and offered some fresh flowers before the holidays.
The Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix passed away in Stacey’s arms last year on Boxing Day.
Stacey wished the late pup a “happy heavenly Christmas” in an emotional caption.
She wrote: “Me and Rexy spent the morning visiting Theo.
“Cleaning her plaque and bringing her some fresh flowers: sounds silly but as it gets closer to Christmas and I remember that last boxing day we lost her.
“I’m missing her more than ever and feeling a bit of dread towards boxing day for some reason.
“We love you fifi happy heavenly Christmas darling.”
The clip arrived just after Stacey revealed her annual Christmas card on Instagram.
This year’s photo features her two youngest children, Rex and Rose, one, along with their dogs Peanut and Teddy.
The adorable foursome snuggled up on a wooden bench under a cozy brown blanket with an aesthetic background filled with Christmas foliage.
Many fans noticed the absence of Stacey’s other two children and her husband Joe Swash, but the media personality quashed any potential rumours.
She explained in the caption: “The cheesy Annual Christmas Card Picture. I didn’t manage to get everyone in this year (there’s too many of us to manage).”
Stacey confessed Peanut and Teddy’s presence in the Christmas card was also a direct result of Theo’s passing.
She continued: “We are so lucky to have Peanut, and to have been lucky enough to rescue and welcome Teddy to our family.
“Dogs are just so special. We miss you Theo. We love you Teddy and Peanut.
“Thank you for being the best dogs in the whole wide world, and the best friends Rex, Rose, Leighton, Zach & Harry could wish for. To the moon and back boys.”
On Christmas Eve, Stacey revealed one last holiday snap featuring “Mr and Mrs Solomon-Swash”, and blamed the awkward poses on her camera’s self-timer.
She wrote: “Hope you have a lovely Christmas. And thinking of anyone struggling during this time of year. I’m so grateful for all of your kindness and support this year and every year.”
