Sarah Michelle Gellar celebrated Robin Williams‘ birthday in the funniest way possible.
The actress, who starred alongside Williams in 2013’s “The Crazy Ones,” took to Instagram on Sunday — the late comedian’s birthday — to share how she planned to honor his memory.
“Tonight I’m going to show my kids #mrsdoutfire for the first time, and continue to keep both your memory and genius alive,” she captioned two photos of them together.
Williams took his own life on August 11, 2014.
The 42-year-old also explained how her grief has evolved in the almost five years since his passing.
“Grief takes everyone on a different path,” she said. “On my journey, I have finally reached the point, where when I think of you, instead of the rush of hot tears, I feel a huge smile spread across my face.”
“The Crazy Ones” was canceled three months before his death.
Williams would have been 68 on Sunday.
“I know how truly blessed I am to have been, even a small part, of your life,” she wrote.
Gellar and husband Freddie Prince Jr. are parents to Charlotte, 9, and Rocky, 6.
